I am looking to Re-home a 120 lb., Brindle, still in-tact male Mastiff/Dane ASAP. He is healthy, has no allergies and had all of his shots. I took him in about 4 months ago with every intention of giving him a forever home, however he has turned out to be not good/trustworthy with smaller livestock (ponies, calf's...) and he has injured them...and after exhausting all possible avenues, I've had to make the tough decision to find him another home. I would like him to go to a person/family that is familiar with large dogs/breeds. When I took him in, he did come with some quirks that I'm happy to go over with anyone that is seriously interested, and I do consider him a 'Rescue'. He is a big, cuddly guy that sleeps up on my bed every night, he does attach to the people he's around the most, he likes going in the vehicle, asks to go outside when he has to go do his business, and he loves to play and wrestle around with my 7 year old son...he has never showed any form of aggression or growling or biting while playing with us, however the issues he came with, that he has gotten better with, is barking and growling at strangers and more specifically men... I have not let him get away this since I've had him, as I have a business at home and have people coming and going regularly, including lots of kids... He also came to me acting very skiddish and reactive with things like loud noises, brooms, shovels, pitchforks (hmmm....), but he does not get aggressive with any of it, more so shys away or hides...He has basic leash training and commands, and he gets along with cats as well as dogs... I have a older Pitty that he respects, as well as had numerous other dogs come to my place, and he has been fine with as long as introduced and handled responsibly in the beginning, they've all ended with running loose, playing together... It really does break my heart to not be able to keep him, but with our lifestyle and business, hand his issue with livestock, he's just too much of a liability to keep.... I am very much needing to re-home him ASAP, so please contact me to discuss further, if you are serious, interested and feel like you'd be a good fit....I have lots of pictures and video available.
