I have two female Caucasian Shepherd x Lurcher puppies available and ready to go to loving homes.
When you scroll below, there are pictures and information about the parents and breeds that have been bred. The black Lurcher is the male stud, and the female long haired Caucasian Shepherd/Shepherd is the mother of the pups. They are pictured together.
This mix is a combination of two of the most powerful, fast, strong and athletic dogs in the world. The Caucasian Shepherds are able to withstand the elements of cold and rugged terrain extremely well. They also have altitude adaptation where they are able to live in high mountain areas, originating from the Caucus mountains.
Caucasian shepherds were bred and used in Russia, also known as a Russian Bear Dog or Caucasian Ovcharka. They were used to guard prisons, where they would take down prisoners who tried to escape.
Today they are used to defend properties, take out Coyotes, guard livestock, and as personal protection and alert dogs, and as loyal pets.
Greyhound mixes with working dogs, otherwise known as Lurchers, originate from the UK, where they were bred to take down rabbits, for racing, hunting waterfowl, and the Wolfhounds and Deerhounds were also used to take out Wolves and hunt deer.
These dogs are extremely fast, with Greyhound being the fastest breed in the world. They are extremely muscular in stature and are very strong even though they look thin. Greyhounds also virtually have no hip dysplasia, and this will be good to have in the genetics of these puppies.
Not only are Greyhounds and Lurchers fast, but they are also very calm dogs and like to hang out inside and chill on the couch when they are inside. They are very sweet dogs, are more quiet, and are good with people.
This is the only litter in Canada of these two breeds mixed.
Usually there is only one litter of Lurchers, or Caucasian Shepherds in the country at a time. Sometimes none.
The father is outgoing, athletic, and has a good nose on him, good with people, does well indoors, and in the summer outdoors. He is friendly.
The mother is a good guardian dog, she is more calm and reserved, but will let you know if there are any dangers if she needs to. She is an excellent guardian and is extremely loyal.
Both parent dogs do not bark too much, and only do so if they need to.
The pups are technically considered to be Lurchers, with a higher percentage of Caucasian Shepherd in them.
Their genetic make up (from knowing the lineage on both sides) is:
37.5% Caucasian Shepherd
25% Greyhound
12.5% German Shepherd
12.5% Scottish Deerhound
6.25% Irish Wolfhound
6.25% Belgian Malinois
Most people think of using Guardian dogs such as Pyrenees or Kangals to take down or deter Coyotes, but Greyhounds are so fast and agile, they they are used in USA and by Hudderites because the Coyotes virtually cannot get away from them. They will take down Coyotes fast. This pared with another livestock guardian paired with them does and insanely effective job of being a pest deterrent.
The puppies going to be tall as adults, females around 27-29 inches at the shoulder likely, and males being 30-32 inches tall, they will be muscular and robust.
Females will weigh around 65-90lbs, whereas the males could be around 100-140lbs.
They will also make good pets for those who want a loyal companion dog, and that are outdoorsy, they will make excellent off-grid, acreage, camping, hiking, or survival dogs, that could potentially save your life.
I have videos of both male pups that were homed, to demonstrate their protection ability of their human, and being good with livestock. I can send them through text so you are able to see what the personalities are like.
This mix is very rare; I looked for 2 years for a Lurcher in Canada and my friend and I eventually had to ship a stud in for $2000 and homed him to eventually breed her. Caucasian Shepherds often go for $2,500 as they are rare as well.
The mix between these I have never seen on the internet before, and they will be an exceptional dog that will not only be a pet, but it will be of use.
For one female, I am doing a breeding agreement, as I have been creating this breed for years. I have worked with other people to create it, and who ever buys a female would also be contributing to creating the breed.

He is the fawn coloured male in the vehicle. His parents are the Merle male low content Wolfdog with up ears (Father), and the fawn orange Turkish Kangal (mother).
I have an Embark DNA test on Yogi’s Dad, who is 21% Gray Wolf (Merle).
I also have photos of the lineage all the way back on his side for 31 years.
From this litter, I would get one pup in exchange for the stuffing to your female. I would buy a second pup if I decided to get another.
